Resuscitating Old Abandoned Rural Water Projects
Olubode Afolabi Foundation is committed to providing clean and reliable water sources to rural communities. This project involves identifying and resuscitating old, abandoned rural water projects, including painting and revitalizing existing structures to ensure functionality and hygiene.
Sanitation and Hygiene
Olubode Afolabi Foundation is committed to fostering healthy communities through comprehensive sanitation and hygiene initiatives. We not only identify and resuscitate dilapidated communal toilets, including replacing fixtures and providing fresh paint undetected a new look and improved hygiene, but also emphasize education. Our programs extend to both communities and community schools, including primary and secondary schools, where we provide detergents and soap, and conduct teaching sessions on proper hand washing, toilet use, and clean environment practices.
Rural Water Supply
Olubode Afolabi Foundation implements rural water supply projects to combat drought and ensure access. This includes drilling new boreholes using mechanized machines and installing manual hand pumps, effectively bringing the underground aquifer to the surface for consistent community and agricultural use.
Irrigation & Greenhouse Setups
Olubode Afolabi Foundation aims to achieve food security and eradicate hunger in rural communities through various initiatives, including promoting sustainable farming practices, supporting food distribution programs, and empowering communities to develop self-sufficient food sources. This also includes providing time-to-time free food, such as free food weekends, to address immediate needs.
